We finally had to replace the old Sony HC20. This was our first shot @ 16:9 format with a Canon ZR500. I thought it the best value under $300. True 16:9 across the chip with a mic output.

My son’s friend had a birthday on Sunday. What better way than to spend it at an amusement park! Here is a moment in time as we amuse ourselves with red vines in the skycar looking over the park.

The video is very washed out, which I kinda like, but is completely unintentional. This old Sony HC20 started washing out everything it recorded on Saturday about halfway through the day when we were down at the kite festival. Over the last month or so the LCD has been slowing fading away as well. Probably a lamp somewhere? It’s logged alot of video and was even with me when I climbed Mt Fuji two summers back. Worse case is I end up with a camera that becomes a playback deck. Time for a new camera. Should I go Card or Tape?
