Great! I was wondering how you attach it to something so it can turn? I guess I have to go to the Franklin Institute to find out.

Hi Jonny ~ thanks for checking out Weekend Weather.
We edited out the magic part.
I helped the boys drill a slightly larger hole for the arrow rod, and then we nailed a large head 8p nail into the post with a washer between the post and rod.
The hard part was getting the nail to go straight in. A slight angle would make the post and rod non-perpendicular. Did that make sense?
