Weekend Weather #7

Ben and Kenji talk about Ernesto and John. But…what about Hurricane Kenji?!

This week’s episode also has clues to a World Treasure Hunt! The first person to locate the treasure and use the correct key, (the serial number on the $20 bill in the treasure chest), will unlock the second round of treasure hunting for everyone!

The Boys and I have been having both a challenge and a blast putting Weekend Weather together. We spend time together to research the upcoming show, write the script, and getting it produced. I’ve been doing the editing so far, but it looks like they want to try their had at it as well.

The show is a day late this week. Our “talent” went on strike! On Friday after school we put all of the elements together for the show. But something was missing. We weren’t having fun! We decided if we weren’t having fun, why do it? As you can see from this episode, it was best to hold off for a day.

Amusement

My son’s friend had a birthday on Sunday. What better way than to spend it at an amusement park! Here is a moment in time as we amuse ourselves with red vines in the skycar looking over the park.

The video is very washed out, which I kinda like, but is completely unintentional. This old Sony HC20 started washing out everything it recorded on Saturday about halfway through the day when we were down at the kite festival. Over the last month or so the LCD has been slowing fading away as well. Probably a lamp somewhere? It’s logged alot of video and was even with me when I climbed Mt Fuji two summers back. Worse case is I end up with a camera that becomes a playback deck. Time for a new camera. Should I go Card or Tape?

Strawberry Canyon Run

Back behind UC Berkeley is Strawberry Canyon. Good trails for hiking and running. Lots of folks take their dogs up here too. Unfortunately, no bikes are allowed.

On clear days you have incomparable view of San Francisco, the Golden Gate, Mt Tamalpais, Berkeley and the surrounding East Bay.

Besides a waterfront run to Emeryville, this is my favorite course during the summer months. About 7.5 miles from the trailhead to the top of Grizzly Peak and back.
